Craft Fair and My First Giveaway

I spent Friday afternoon and most of today (though, I'm actually typing this a couple days early, but we can pretend) at a craft fair.  I'm not selling crafts.  I'm actually showing people Heritage Makers.  I've made the coolest projects for Christmas the past couple years.  My first ever Heritage Makers project was a book (made online and then published) for my brother-in-law's family who had lost a baby.  It was a very emotional experience for me.  I've made several books for my parents.  Every year growing up, we took a "Santa" picture.  I decided to compile all those pictures, and put them into one book.

It was GREAT!  There are some classic pictures in there.  My favorite; me teary eyed with my arms folded and looking at the ground...I'm 13.

I've made posters with family pictures and framed them.  My favorite poster I made is of
 A Proclamation to the World
where the frame consist of my family pictures.  I also made one for my parents with pictures of all their kids and grandkids and of them as well.
Last Christmas, I made several decks of cards.  I gave a deck to each one of my children.  Their decks each consisted of pictures of themselves.  It was a great saver for my daughter while in church on one of her more cranky days.  I pulled out those puppies and we looked at each one of those pictures.  Whew!  Saved us a trip to the foyer.

This deck is my middle child's.  I LOVEloveLOVE these cards!

One of my funnest projects was going around my neighborhood and into other parts of the state on a letter hunt.  I would hunt for the letter "A" in my surroundings (and every other letter as well).  I had my kids help me on this mission.  These letters weren't on signs, but on sidewalks, fences, or even playgrounds.  Then, I made a matching game out of them.  My daughter is working on her ABC's.  This will be fun to play with her.
I had to be creative with some of the letters, but overall, was quite pleased.

The best part, if something happens to these books/cards/posters/whatever, I can always order more (at a discounted rate).  I heart Heritage Makers.  And after 4 years of being a customer, I signed up as a consultant.  I still do Pampered Chef, but I figured I might as well take advantage of the Heritage Makers discounts since I have so many projects I want to make and I'm sick of the clutter my
scrapbook material makes.

I want you all to be able to try it out, so head on over to yourstorybookending.com and set up an account.  You don't have to pay anything unless you want to sign up for the premier membership.  There are tons of templates and scrapbook kits to choose from.  If you're looking for a quote, you can find anything, just type in the subject whether it's "baby" or "anniversary" or "dogs."  I'd love to help you.  Here's the GIVEAWAY part.  I'm offering a free poster for one winner.  You can do anything you want with it and I'll help you get there.  Here's what you need to do to enter:

1      Follow "A Recovering Craft Hoarder".
2      Put  "A Recovering Craft Hoarder" on your sidebar.
3      Facebook/twitter/blog about this giveaway (one entry for each that you do).
4      Sign up for an account (2 entries).

That's five ways to win.  Leave a comment for each thing you do.  I am so excited about this giveaway.  Giveaway will close November 27th and I will announce the winner the following week.
