Nativities

Remember to enter the GIVEAWAY!

I know....I know....it's time to get crafting again.  I just can't believe how distracted I've become.  I spent the last week putting out all my Christmas decorations and now am trying to clean up the mayhem that followed when I neglected everything else (toys and clutter).

I need to show you something my mother-in-law made.  She's the craft queen.  She does quilts and sewing, neither of which are my strong points.  I love it when her homemade gifts are sent my way!

The attention to details on this are amazing.  Would you look at that sheep?!!  This was a gift many years ago and has sense been on my favorites list.

So you see the picture of Santa there?  My sister-in-law, Britt made that.  As crafty as these girls are, we've never been together for a craft night.  We'll have to plan something for next summer since I no longer live in the same state.

Here's another nativity my mother-in-law made for me:

Aren't they adorable?!!  She has some serious talent.

These are so great for me because I'm a nativity set collector.  Almost every year, my husband, or mother-in-law have added to my collection.  I have my dad on the lookout for nativity sets during his international travels.  Here are some of the sets I have now (I also have the Fisher Price set, but it's in the basement scattered.  Hey, we play with it. What else can I say?):

This was the first Nativity I ever got.  My husband gave it to be the first year we were married.  They may be scuffed but have otherwised stood the test of time.  Very impressed.

And here are some you can give me for Christmas. ;D

I love nativity sets, too! I only have one up this year. Our big family room is a remodelling mess, so I don't have room to put all of them out. Thanks for sharing!

It's hard to craft when you have a job and young kids. Granted, when I was working, it was 4 hours a day, but that was enough that I didn't have time for the extras. Plus, now I've got kids that go to school EVERY day. I still don't manage my time well, but at least I have time to manage.

Here's another collector. In Gatlinburg this week we saw an outdoor set for $25,000.00. I seriously wanted it. Ha!
