Girl's Night with Power Tools

I'm BACK!!!  Did you miss me?  I sure missed crafting.  In fact, I spent a couple hours in my craft room today just to try pruning my boxes down a bit.  Emptied two large totes and have a good supply ready for either freecycle or Salvation Army.  Very excited.  It still looks a bit chaotic but I'll save the pictures for tomorrow.  It's been a while since I've posted updates.  I can't wait to show off the closet that cost me $0.  Well....that's technically not true.  I used some of the stuff I got at the auction (that cost me $13 something).

It's been three months since I last hosted a girl's night so when I was asked if I'd be willing, I jumped at the chance.  I wanted to off-load some of my excess wood.  We had so much fun.  In typical fashion, our first hour was spent chatting.  Finally, one friend decided the sander looked like fun (it's the first time I've pulled it out of the box) and got started.

As the hours went on (yes, hours) we all became a little loopy. Some more than others.

I let everybody use their own creativity. I supplied wood, paint, glue, and other necessities and a few ideas.

Yes, those are girl scout cookies you see on the table.  It was so much fun!  One person did a job board, another a family home evening theme.  Another just stencil her daughter's initials.  The best part was connecting with friends and enjoying one another's company.
