I made a Christmas banner with discarded CD's last December.
Ever since then, I've been wanting to do something similar. To be honest, I could do this with anything: Easter, Spring, Winter, Autumn, etc....etc....
This time, I turned it into a banner. I used all the same steps (used cup to trace circle, distressed paper with ink, mod podged on both sides of soup can lid), but connected it with ric-rac. I lovelovelove these banners and using something I would normally have thrown away.

Cute! How'd you punch holes in the lids?
That's a cute idea.
I have to make a banner for a RS activity and I've been stressing it, but I guess it doesn't need to be too hard, huh? Mine has to be 12 ft--what could I use for that?
oh, this is Britt.
I have got to do this! My husband's birthday is the 4th of July. What a great way to combine the two! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
This is SUCH an awesome way to upcycle CDs! I never know what to do with them and feel bad throwing them away. Very creative!
Visiting from Serenity Now
Great use of the old CD's - I wouldn't have known that's what you used if you didn't say so!
This is a great craft! Thanks for sharing!
SAVING SAVING SAVING THIS! So cute -- I never thought of changing my decor for 'summer' but so many do and your idea is cute, easy and fun!
Wow super cute. I would love for you to link these up at my link party this friday through Sunday. The button for the weekly link is on my blog now. Hope you come.
Totally cute!

Thanks for linking up at Bacon Time. I would be thrilled if you would grab the party button too. This will spread the word of the party and be good for all. Next week I am having a special give away just for linkers. The party has been a big hit, over 260 links and still going! See you soon.
This is so cute! I had one of those, why didn't I think of that moments! I have TONS of CDs laying around. I worked for an IT company for awhile and accumulated lots! :)
I'm a new follower! Can't wait to see more cute ideas!
